All Scripture is inspired by God and is profitable for teaching, for rebuking, for correcting, for training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.” -- 2 Timothy 3:16-17 HCSB

INTRODUCTION - Its very tempting to read the Bible as ordinary literature. But there is so much more to the Word than just a collection of nice stories. The Bible is God's wisdom and His plan for mankind. It is a handbook for living a successful life. Every story reveals how to live by faith in God's Kingdom. The Kingdom of God is simply God's way of doing things. When you do things His way, you will never fail!

As you read each Bible story, meditate on the truths revealed and see how they apply to your life. Read the story in various Bible translations for an even better perspective of difficult passages. Use the faith-building confessions at the end of each Bible story to build your faith. Always remember faith comes by hearing the Word. The more Word you place in your heart, the greater the wisdom and divine revelation you will receive. God's Word will positively change your life!

OLD TESTAMENT STORIES - Read all your favorite Old Testament stories and see faith in action.

Joshua and the Crumbling, Tumbling Walls of Jericho - A Bible story from Joshua 1-6. God gives Joshua a most peculiar plan for defeating Jericho. Seven days later and there was nobody doubting God's plan.

NEW! Ruth - Seed of Love and Harvest of Blessing - A Bible story from the Book of Ruth. Ruth put her faith in God and began sowing seeds of love and harvested an abundance of blessings for both her, Naomi and eventually all of Israel.

David and Goliath & Some Giant-slaying Faith - A Bible story from 1 Samuel. A young shepherd boy faces a 10-foot tall warrior and proves to his countrymen that God was still willing to fight on the side of those that put their complete trust in Him.

Jumpin' Jehoshaphat - Praise Works! - A Bible story from 2 Chronicles 20:1-30. When 3 armies invade Judah, King Jehoshaphat knew that God would protect his country. He marched the army out to face the enemy led by a choir singing praises to God. But there would be no battle that day. God had already given them the victory!

Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego & The Fiery Furnace - A Bible story from Daniel 3:1-30. Three young men refuse to sin, and by doing so, defy the most powerful ruler in the world, a crime worthy of a fiery death. When they put their trust in God, there is nothing to fear.

NEW TESTAMENT STORIES - Read all your favorite New Testament stories and see God's love in action.

The Birth of John the Baptist - This story is based on the angel Gabriel's announcement to Zacharias of the birth of his son John. Even though Zacharias was a righteous man, he still had some doubt concerning what Gabriel had said. God in His mercy gave him a gentle reminder that every Word from God can always be trusted.

Mary, Gabriel & the Birth of Jesus - This story is based on the angel Gabriel's announcement to Mary of the birth of God's son, Jesus. Mary, a simple virgin from Nazareth, had enough faith to trust God's Word and be the mother to the world's Savior.

The Centurion & Faith That Impresses God - This story is based on Jesus healing the Centurion's servant found in the book of Matthew & Luke in your Bible. The Centurion, a Roman officer and Gentile, demonstrates simple, yet powerful faith in God's Word. God doesn't want a bunch of religious nonsense, just people who will simply trust Him and His Word with all their heart. That's the kind of faith that impresses God!

The Prodigal Son - This parable is found in Luke and perfectly illustrates God's incredible capacity to love and forgive. If you haven't read this parable lately, read it again and meditate on all the truths so brilliantly portrayed.

Simon's Net-breaking, Boat-sinking Catch of Fish - This story is based on Simon's abundant catch of fish found in Luke in your Bible. Simon had fished all night with no success. He needed some fish. Jesus needed a place to preach. When Simon let Jesus use his boat, it opened the door for Jesus to meet his need with a net-breaking, boat-sinking load of fish.

NEW! Palm Sunday Parade - This Bible story is based on Jesus riding into Jerusalem on a donkey. Found in all 4 Gospels in your Bible, we celebrate Palm Sunday to remind us that Jesus has come and is now with us for all eternity.
